Shop around and decide for yourself
By Target Shopaholic
It was tough to find the right infant carrier and I bought this product because I trust the Chicco brand — I have their carseat, stroller, play yard & plan to get their high chair. When I first tried this carrier, I thought it was a great buy but now that I’ve had it for a few days, I have a few critiques:
#1: It is somewhat difficult to get your baby into and especially out — the mesh creates cling to your baby so it can be difficult to pull baby straight up & out — impossible to do while baby is asleep.
#2: Although it says for 7.5 lb to 25 lbs, my 5 week old at 10lbs looked like she had been swallowed in it — I had to fold the top down in order to see her.
#3: Long usage will cause some discomfort on your shoulders & back. I went for a 2 mile walk to the grocery store and on the way back, I could definitely start to feel the pressure on my shoulders & mid-back. I have used this for a maximum of 2 hours and after some stretching, I felt fine but who knows what will happen as my baby grows & gets heavier…
#4: The adjustable straps on the side are difficult to adjust, especially when you have the baby in your way!
#5: The cuddle pocket feature is useless — there’s so much padding that there’s no way your baby can feel your touch… I would rather this be an extra pocket for me to store something small, like a cellphone or keys.
#6: Attached snap-on bib is a good idea but the bib they provide you with is really ugly and BRIGHT WHITE — I would rather this be a universal snap-on for all bibs.
Chicco has a more expensive deluxe version of this carrier.
It’s almost twice as expensive but it has these additional features:
*Opens from front
*Waist belt and lumbar support
*Quick fixing attachment points and multiple easy adjustments
Seems like it would solve a lot of the above problems I mentioned but at twice the price, I hesitate.
***update***
My baby is now 6.5 months and 18lbs. I still have similar complaints about this carrier. It is not easy getting her into this and even more difficult to slip her out of it. She is also quite heavy now and carrying her for more than an hour definitely kills my shoulders & back. I keep this in the car for grocery trips but rarely use it b/c I just don’t want to deal with it…

the description the seller gives you is not appropriate. it has just 2 positions NOT THREE, wouldn’t buy it again

it is described as 3 position infant carrier, well in reality it has just two. The quality is good and seems resistant to me but I would have liked more honesty about the features. You can carry the baby just in the front and towards you or facing the world. There are better carriers out there, please check them out before buying this.
The good qualities are: very easy to use, very easy to clean (machine washable) light weight.
hope this helps

Good for a small infant
By raebbie
I used this carrier when our son was small, up until about 3 months.
Remember that there’s no waist strap, so all of the weight will be on your shoulders and back. This is the main reason why I stopped using this carrier after the baby was about 10 lbs.
Facing inward he was quite comfortable, and the ‘bib’ was great for keeping my clothes clean and catching the inevitable spit up. Other reviews are correct in stating that the ‘comfort pocket’ is pretty useless, but it made a handy place to store a spare burp rag.
I received this pack as a gift and was glad that I hadn’t spent money on it. Used it quite a bit in the first few months but it’s just not practical after that.
